all the dye stuff

Thanks to  my friend KeriAnne, her set of Pro MX reactive dyes, and a little advice from The Lazy Dyer I’m hooked on hand-dying fabric.  These are from my first-ever dye party. Potato chips, good music, good company and amazing colors.  Sweet!

I’ll show the results sometime soon.

Happy 2010 everyone! My New Year’s resolution? No more crying over sewing machines! Since I killed not only my own, but also my mother’s occasional-use Singers I went over to Newman Sewing Machine today and got me a new (old) Bernina. It looks to be from the 70s but its cleaned up and still has an inner beast. Can’t wait to show you all the great stuff I’ll be making.

Anyone else out there have this one? How do you like it?
