I recently added this set of 6 Hexagon Coasters to my Etsy shop. They’re the last product on which you’ll be able to get my bubbles print since I just retired it to make room in my collection for some great new patterns. Get your (extremely) limited edition (only two sets made!) linen and felt coasters while you can!
Well, sort of. It has been in my shop for a little while now, but I didn’t post about it yet. I love how the cool silver ink works with the warm, creamy yellow canvas in this Dreamy Scales Pillow. See a close up of the hand-stitched detail here. It’s been fun to experiment with metallic ink. My husband mixed silver with other colors to a nice subtle effect in some astronaut shirts he printed and gave out for Christmas.

So that I can spend Christmas enjoying family rather than working on my shop, I’ve posted my post-Christmas and Boxing Day (hello, Canada!) sales now. The folks over at Poppytalk Handmade (where I have a virtual street market table through the first week in January) have inspired me to learn more about the international holiday that is Boxing Day. After much web browsing, I’m still not quite sure what it’s about (read more here) but am excited to celebrate handmade by offering great deals to those who will be shopping for it. Well, here it is: my ornament collection for 2007. Those that are for my swap group are in the mail as I write! They’re made with hand screen-printed felt, commercially printed cotton, tread, and some feature a disk of birch bark. I’ve also included them in my Etsy shop. …MaryAnn! I’m really excited about this one. I used the same bag pattern as the Damselfly handbag but made some comfy straps for carrying it over the shoulder. The straps are lined with the same blue and white striped ribbon that wraps around the bag. It’s new ribbon from a local shop but I like to imagine I picked it out from a wall of antique ribbon at a little hole-in-the-wall shop in France. The inspiration for these belts came from the beautiful green/white striped gross grain ribbon that backs it. I wear one of these belts almost daily and it’s great because it doesn’t create lump under my un-tucked shirts like thick leather belts do. I wear it with my dressier pants and jeans.
