I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. I’ve been a mini factory lately churning out new gift-perfect goodies (including this Vineyard/Turquoise Mosaic Headband) and my ornaments for the Holiday Ornament Swap hosted by freshlyblended and cake and pie. I’m happy to have found the computer amongst the fabric and bits of thread in every room of the studio. Our whole apartment is now referred to as “the studio.”

I’ve also spent a good deal of my internet time drooling over all the great handmade items on the web for Christmas. If you haven’t stopped by my Etsy shop lately, here’s a peek at what’s new. Soon to post also: a fab. brown and silver clutch and a dreamy yellow pillow.

Just want to share one of my recent purchases. This fun talking birds letterpress card comes from Pistachio Press, which I first learned about from one my fave blogs Aesthetic Outburst. Check out more from Pistachio Press here.

Here are a couple shots of my father-in-law’s woodpile. Isn’t it stunning? A few weekends ago I was strolling around taking some photos of birch trees at his house in VT when I was sucked in by lots of circles from across the yard. Needless to say I filled up the rest of my memory card.

The moss and mushrooms on the birches are pretty cool too. I’m obsessed with that light green moss that grows on rocks and trees. Yes, yes, bring on the snickers and laughs. I’m used to that by now.

New in My Shop…

…MaryAnn! I’m really excited about this one. I used the same bag pattern as the Damselfly handbag but made some comfy straps for carrying it over the shoulder. The straps are lined with the same blue and white striped ribbon that wraps around the bag. It’s new ribbon from a local shop but I like to imagine I picked it out from a wall of antique ribbon at a little hole-in-the-wall shop in France. See more of this MaryAnn Chocolate Canvas Shoulder Bag in my Etsy shop.
